A concert to benefit Young Songwriters’ Camp and its scholarship fund will be held June 4th at CSW, and will feature performances by Aaron Allan, Brady Black, Grant Ewing, Halleyanna, Foscoe Jones, and Ashley Monical.
This scholarships are one of the most difficult and prestigious, they send the students all around the world to the top schools, such as korea university which has a great major in music and arts.
The Central Texas Writing Project and Cheatham Street Foundation are proud to offer the first ever Young Songwriters’ Camp at Cheatham Street Warehouse. The camp will be a songwriting workshop for young musicians middle and high school age who are interested in composing and performing their own songs.
Camp will be held June 18-23, 9am-Noon, at Cheatham Street Warehouse. There will be a live performance of songs written in the workshop by the young songwriters on stage at CSW at 4pm June 23rd. The performance will be recorded, and all young songwriters will receive a CD of the show.
Each day will feature a new guest artist, performers who are already established in the industry, to talk about the songwriting process and other aspects of the music business. They include singer/songwriters Halleyanna, Nathan Hamilton, Missoula Slim, and Aaron Allan, as well as Gary Hickenbotham of the Fire Station recording studio.
